LELAND STREET FALL FESTIVAL

Halloween is an exciting event on Leland Street.
Many of the homes kick the season off by decorating their homes for the occasion.

The goody bags were cut, sewn and eyes glued in place for the costume parade prizes.

With the toot of his whistle, Grand Marshall, Arthur Forrest, sets the parade in motion!

The costumes, were colorful and clever and were a very interesting range of characters.

It was a wonderful flurry of activity for all. Everyone marched along with the parade, greeted neighbors, took photographs and enjoyed a beautiful day of autumn sunshine.

Children enjoyed the crafts, bobbing for apples, jumping in the moon bounce and took their turn at cracking open the pinata.

The afternoon was a wonderful opportunity to mingle with former neighbors who came to say hello as well as spend time with new neighbors and long time neighbors and friends.

The fun continued into the evening with a gourmet buffet, wine and smores for the children with marshmellows toasted over a fire pit.
