The children, friends and neighbors of Leland Street enjoyed a magnificent fall festival. The Grand Marshall donned his red cape and grabbed his whistle, Marcy picked up the baskets of her handmade costumes prizes, Terry Bateman turned on the ignition of the Parade Pace Car and Jill broadcast music for parade march as the Leland Costume Parade moved up Leland Street.
The wagons, strollers, pets, paraders, parents and paparazzi were on the move!
There was a smile for every “scary” or sweet moment.
The costumes were precious, clever and charming. Every child gets a prize.
The children had a wonderful time with the crafts table, games, moon bounce and pinata.
Neighbors enjoyed the chance to mingle amongst each other and to meet our new neighbors.
The festivities continued into the evening with a sumptuous buffet dinner, marshmallow roast and even a light sticks for the children's moon bounce.
As always it was a fun filled night for families and friends.
This year’s Leland Street Fall Festival was graced with a special guest. Governor Martin O’Malley stopped by to say hello to friends and supporters.
